Would you like to participate in a community stitching project to celebrate the River Lugg?
I live in Herefordshire and am seeking participants for this short research project that will end with an art exhibition in May 2022.
I am studying at Manchester Metropolitan University and hope that together we can investigate stories of the Lugg and stitch. I am interested to find out about our heritage, folklore, and rural place.
This project involves embroidering a snowdrop in as little or as much detail as you wish with absolutely no experience of stitching required. A printed design to fill in will be available if you prefer. All materials provided.
My name is Jackie Morris. If you would like to hear more about stitching together and sharing stories of the River Lugg, please email me on jacqueline.morris@stu.mmu.ac.uk or telephone on 07766688193
I will need to tell you more about the project so you can decide if you would like to take part. There is no obligation to do so.
If you do decide to, I will ask you to sign a consent form and fill in a short questionnaire at the end. You can withdraw at any time and can be involved for as long or as short a time as you wish.
I will arrange a date where we can meet in the community in a safe way or online in a Zoom call or both, depending on the latest Covid-19 Government regulations.
