About

This is a 12 week project to hear and share information and stories about the heritage, history, ecology and folklore of the River Lugg and /or to embroider small snowdrops to celebrate it. Its source is near Llangynllo in Radnorshire, Wales and from there it meanders its way towards Presteigne, the border town, and then through Herefordshire, meeting a main tributary the Arrow south of Leominster, and finally joining the River Wye below Hereford. Stitchers and storytellers will meet as often or as little as they please; informal biweekly sessions will be held for participants to drop into as they can and to which speakers and presenters will be sought and invited.

If you have a story to tell about The Lugg, or a special interest or passion about any aspect relating to it, please do get in touch.

The project will culminate in an exhibition at the beginning of May to coincide with the Marches Makers Festival.
